Auditions for new adaptation of Orwell's 1984 Sept 28-9 #yyj

Giggling Iguana Productions holds auditions for new adaptation of Orwell classic 1984, September 28 and 29, 2012.

Giggling Iguana Productions is holding Auditions for, a new adaptation of George Orwell's famous dystopian novel set in a future, now past. This exciting new adaptation is by David Elendune, whose work includes "Good Night Uncle Joe", "Love & Darkness", "Agamemnon", and "Frank & Larry Go To Hell (?)" (see

Auditions for will be held at Langham Court Theatre, 805 Langham Court (off Rockland Ave.), in the rehearsal rooms. Please come to Langham Court and follow the signs to the rehearsal room.

Auditions will be done as a large group and auditioners will be expected to have read provided scenes from the play in advance of attending. Auditions will take place Friday, September 28, 7-10pm and Saturday, September 29, 1-4pm.

The play is directed by Roger Carr, well known for his work at Langham Court Theatre. Carr recently directed "The Drowsy Chaperone" for Langham Court Theatre - one of it's biggest critical and public successes in recent seasons. Iguana founder, Ian Case, produces. will play November 21 through December 1, 2012 at the Intrepid Theatre Club, #2-1609 Blanshard Street. Ticketing information and casting will be released shortly.
