Victoria Film Festival invites views & votes starting Sept 24 #yyj @VicFilmFestival

You be the judge!

For the first time ever, the VFF asks the public to help us select a program of short documentaries for screening at the upcoming 19th Annual Victoria Film Festival.

Starting September 24th to November 26th, locals will have the opportunity to watch short film entries over the lunch hour, and based on the Festival selection criteria, pick the ones they think should go on to screen at the Victoria Film Festival, February 1-10, 2013

"This is a wonderful partnership between the Greater Victoria Public Library and the VFF to engage the community at large and provide a tangible connection to what is programmed at the Festival," says Festival Director, Kathy Kay. "I think this will create a better understanding of the process that goes into selecting films and give participants the tools for good critical awareness."

View & Vote screenings take place every Monday from noon until 1:00pm at the Greater Victoria Public Library located at 735 Broughton Street. There is no cost to participate and there is no limit to the number of screenings one can attend. For more information, please call 250-389-0444 or visit
