Victoria BC – A 36-year-old Victoria drug dealer was found with four litres of GHB as officers arrested him on outstanding warrants.

VicPD Patrol officers were searching for the suspect late last night after Surrey RCMP requested his arrest on warrants from their jurisdiction for drug charges.

The suspect was spotted at the Travelers Inn at 1850 Douglas Street exiting a cab at approximately 11:30 p.m. When he spotted police he tried to quickly walk away, going into the hotel. As officers were attempting to arrest him, he tried to hide the backpack he was carrying.

The backpack was recovered and officers located two bottles filled with GHB. He also had a quantity of methamphetamine with him as well. The GHB alone would have a street value of approximately $400.

The suspect was held in custody on the outstanding warrants and investigations continue in relation to the other drugs.
