Rocking out for HIV Awareness Dec 1 in #yyj

5th Annual Rock show to raise funds
for local women living with HIV/AIDS

Victoria—On World AIDS Day 2012 (Sat., December 1st) members of Victoria’s rock community will play the 5th Annual Rock Your Awareness benefit in support of AIDS Vancouver Island’s women’s programs.

‘Ho-tonk’ headliners The Ballgag ‘n’ Chain Gang have created a cult following on Canada’s west coast and are participating at this event for the first time. They will be joined by rock, gyspy and soul sounds of Double Platinum. Rounding out the line-up is the folk cabaret couple Hearse.

“We are very grateful for the support of Logan’s Pub who have generously hosted this event for the past 5 years in support of AIDS Vancouver Island’s programs” says Hermione Jefferis, Health Promotion Educator and organizer of the event. “Proceeds from the event will greatly assist us in providing specific programs for women who are living with HIV/AIDS in our community.”

The event starts at 8pm with door-prizes, and raffles. $10 donations accepted at the door. Logan’s Pub 1831 Cook St.
