Santa Skate at City Centre Park Dec 8 #yyj

Langford, BC – Santa will be taking a short break from Christmas preparations for some fun skating with kids at City Centre Park’s outdoor rink. Featuring music and one-of-a-kind under-ice Christmas lighting, the skating begins at 3pm on Saturday, December 8th. The free event is a great way to get into the Christmas spirit as you gather around one of our outdoor fire pits and treat your children to a complimentary hot chocolate.

Adding to the fun, several players from the BCHL’s league leading Grizzlies hockey team will be on hand, along with Grizz, their furry and friendly mascot. Long-time Langford City Councillor Lanny Seaton, Chair of the Parks, Recreation, Culture and Beautification Committee and acting Mayor will be on hand to kick off the event.

Santa would also like to invite folks to jump on the Langford Trolley from a special stop right beside the skating rink, and help him pick out the top 3 lit up businesses and top 3 residential homes with over $1500 in prizes to be won. The first tour heads out at 6:30pm, with a second and final run beginning at 7:15pm.

City Centre Park invites participants to consider dropping off a non-perishable food item or donation for the Goldstream Food Bank in our Westhills Arena lobby.
